Learning Schools Trust
The Learning Schools Trust (LST) is a charitable trust that operates Kunskapsskolan sponsored academy schools in the United Kingdom.
Learning Schools Trust has operated four academy schools in England. Hampton Academy [1] and Twickenham Academy [2] are located in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, while Ipswich Academy is located in Ipswich, Suffolk.[3] The Elizabeth Woodville School [4](EWS) in Northamptonshire, became an LST Academy on 1 December 2012.
In March 2014 the trust was one of 14 organisations banned from taking on new schools.[5] The following year, the Department for Education removed Ipswich Academy from LST's trusteeship after an inadequate Ofsted report.[6] Hampton Academy and Twickenham Academy both had consistently poor Ofsted reports and left the Learning Schools Trust at the end of the 2015 school year.[7] The trust ceased operation in 2016.[8]
