Larry Zarian (Armenian: Լարի Զարյան, October 20, 1937 – October 13, 2011) was the first Armenian-American to serve on the city council in the City of Glendale, California.[1] He also served as Glendale Mayor.[1] He served on the California Transportation Commission, and had a show on an Armenian Channel called "Horizon." He succumbed to an aggressive cancer that prevents the body from making healthy blood cells on October 13, 2011.[2] He had a radio show in Los Angeles on KIEV.
Personal Life
Zarian was married to his German wife with three sons: twins Gregory and Lawrence, who are actors and models, and Vincent.[3][2]
