The Lafayette Township School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in Kindergarten through eighth grade from Lafayette Township, in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States.

As of the 2013-14 school year, the district's one school had an enrollment of 251 students and 26.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7:1.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]

For ninth through twelfth grades, public school students attend High Point Regional High School, which also serves students from Branchville, Frankford Township, Montague Township, Sussex Borough and Wantage Township (where the school is located).[4][5] As of the 2013-14 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 999 students and 89.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1.[6]
