Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone's Conspiracy (Japanese: レディレイトン 富豪王アリアドネの陰謀 Hepburn: Redi Reiton: Fugō-ō Ariadone no Inbō) is an upcoming puzzle video game in development by Level-5 for Nintendo 3DS, iOS, and Android. It is the seventh main entry in the Professor Layton series and follows a new protagonist, Katrielle Layton, who searches for her missing father Professor Hershel Layton. The game is planned to be released in 2017.

Overview

Lady Layton follows Professor Hershel Layton's daughter, Katrielle Layton, who solves puzzles in her father's place alongside her talking dog Sharo and her friends Geraldine Royer and Noah Mondeor. When her father vanishes, Katrielle goes off in search of him, coming across various puzzles and mysteries along the way.[1] Like previous games in the series, the game features various puzzles for the player to solve using the touchscreen as they explore the environment and progress through the game's story.[2]

Development

The puzzles are being designed by Kuniaki Iwanami, who replaces previous designer Akira Tago following his death in March 2016.[3][4] The game's animated cutscenes are being produced by A-1 Pictures.[3] The game is planned to be released in Japan in Q1/Q2 2017, and in North America and Europe at sometime later in 2017.[5]
