It is located in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, Ocongate District. Kicha Qaqa lies south of Anta P'unqu and K'ark'apata, southwest of Ch'uñuna and east of Wila Sirka. It stretches along the Pampawasi valley whose intermittent stream flows to T'inkimayu (Tinquimayo) in the southwest.
