Khalid Farooqi

Khalid Farooqi is an Afghan parliamentarian from Paktika Province, and leader of Hezb-e-Islami Khalid Farooqi he is well known freedom fighter against soviet invasion, he started his peaceful struggle for Islamic government against sardar daud during his student life but later when Afghanistan fell under communist rule in 1975 he migrated to Pakistan and started jihad against that regime and he continued his jihad against Russia until 1989. he was the commander of hizb e islami in paktika province .[1]
