Khadamabad, Pakistan
Khadamabad (also known as Khadimabad) is a town located in Tehsil Dadyal, Mirpur District, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is named after its founder Moulvi Khadam Hussain, who installed the first water supply and a Jaamia Mosque in the town. The town now consists of over 100 shops, a post office and a high school. The surrounding villages include Sarthalla, Khairi (upper and lower), Mahiya-na-morha, Ankar, Balathi Muree and Chakk.
The main attraction in Khadamabad is its lively bazaar which consists of tea shops, grocery stores, butchers and banks. This bazaar attracts many villagers from the surrounding areas and beyond during its annual Jashn-e-Milad-Un-Nabi celebration in which locals recite the Holy Quran, praise the Prophet Muhammad (saw) and listen to religious nasheeds.
