Kevin Roose

Kevin Roose is an American news director, producer, and author.[1] He is well known for writing about Liberty University, a university historically known for very strict rules imposed on students.[2] Roose works as news director at Fusion.[3][4] He was named to Forbes' "30 under 30" in 2015.[5]

Writing

Roose wrote The Unlikely Disciple while undercover at Liberty University, aiming to explore the culture of life at a fundamental Evangelical university.[6] Roose, raised in a secular and liberal environment, wanted to better understand conservative Christian culture.[7]

Roose's second book, Young Money, follows the beginning of the career of eight financial analysts on Wall Street. It focuses on the difficult and strenuous work environments and what makes the financial industry different after the financial crisis of 2007–08.[8]

Media appearances

Roose appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on February 27, 2014, to discuss Young Money.[9] In September 2015, he appeared on The Huffington Post's "So That Happened" podcast.[10]
