Julius’s videos are viewed worldwide. Julius has one of the highest snapchats in the country with over 350k snapchat followers.[3]

Career

Before Julius’s internet success, he studied at King's College London, but it was on his study abroad year at UCLA, where he performed at many large scale events, that persuaded him to add to the magic and to enter the world of “viral videos” and internet pranks.[4]

He filmed his first video, “How to Kiss a girl with a magic trick”- a video which gained over half a million views on Facebook. He has carried out numerous viral social experiments and pranks: “How To Get An Internship in the city”,[1] Dog in a bag social experiment,[5] Proposing to strangers[4] He has been a radio talk show guest.[6]

Julius remains an internationally recognized celebrity magician - he is regularly flown around the world to perform at events, ranging from Cambridge University Balls to Nelson Mandela and Kelly Rowland’s birthday party, as well as events hosted by One Direction, Russell Brand, Graham Norton etc. In 2015, he was titled the “Hollywood Magician”[7] due to his appearances at celebrity events. He has performed in Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Paris.

Reception

Julius' pranks on the public are often positively received, being described as "hilarious" and news sites have covered some of his videos.[8][9][10] One video, where Dein uses a fake 6 foot snake to scare people and record what the Daily Mail describes as "their hilarious reactions", went viral on Facebook, being shared over 148,000 times by June 2016.[11] Huffington Post writer Ryan Barrell described one of Dein's pranks as being "so simple, but so funny.", and noted that Dein was a "brave man" for pulling off the prank.[9] One of Dein's pranks, where he tried to convince strangers on the street that he was their long-lost son was described as a "hilarious stunt", but did note that not all victims took the prank well. The video received over two million views.[10][10][11][12][13]
