John Proud (born 23 February 1967) is an English cricketer. Proud is a left-handed batsman.

Proud was born in Ripon, Yorkshire, and represented the Yorkshire Cricket Board in three List A matches. These came against Huntingdonshire and Yorkshire in the 2000 NatWest Trophy, and the Lancashire Cricket Board in the 2001 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy.[1] In his three List A matches, Proud scored seven runs at a batting average of 2.33, with a high score of 6. In the field he took a single catch.[2]

In 2002, he represented Cambridgeshire in a MCCA Knockout Trophy match against Suffolk.[3] He latterly played club cricket for Harrogate C.C. in the Yorkshire ECB County Premier League.
