To accept the role of Holly on Summer Height High, ABC told Featherby that she would need to drop two year 12 classes to fit in with filming scheduling. Featherby dropped psychology and literature to take the position, stating, "It was a tough decision but luckily I'd already completed two year 12 subjects -- one in year 10 and one in year 11 -- so I could afford to drop them and take the job."[2]

Featherby also filmed a 2012 Haybo Productions pilot for a show called My PT about a dysfunctional gym. In the pilot, she played the role of Katie. The series was not picked up by a network, however.[3]

She is represented by Emma Raciti Management.[4]

As of 2014, Featherby worked in social media at Sportsbet.com.au in Melbourne.[5] She was also the host at Footy Talk Back, an Australian Football League commentator show.[6]
