Jayanagar is a residential suburb of Mysore city, Karnataka state, India.

Location

Jayanagar is located on the southern side of Mysore city. The eighteen cross-roads of Jayanagar starts from first cross at K.G.Koppal and ends at the eighteenth cross near the Rama Mandira and the Hare Krishna temple. There are five main roads in this grid system. The second main is the bus route and bus numbers 61A and 53 plays through it.[1]

K.G.Koppal Market

K.G.Koppal is a very vibrant market of Mysore. The market sells clothes, furniture and other household articles. This market is popular for cheaper variety of goods. The posh shops are all situated at Akshay Bhandar some 500 meters away.

Railway Station

There is a railway station in Jayanagar. It is called Chamarajapuram railway station. It is about 500 meters from Jayanagar post office.

Jayangar Cricket Stadium

Jayanagar has an elaborately designed cricket stadium. The stadium has facilities for practicing batches of students. It has a walking track of 500 meters for health bums.
