Janan George Harb (Arabic: جنان حرب; born 1947) the former wife of King Fahd.[1][2][3]
Early life
Janan Harb was born in Palestine in 1947 to a Christian family.[2][3] Her family later moved to Saudi Arabia, where she worked as a translator for the Venezuelan Embassy [3]
Marriage
When Janan was 20 years old, she was married to Prince Fahd who was the Prime Minister at that time. In 2015, she won a payout of £15 million after a British judge ruled that his family had failed to honour promises made for her upkeep. She claimed that Prince Fahd had three times arranged for her to undergo abortions, in order to keep secret his relationship with a woman from a Christian background.[4]
Book
Janan Harb stated that she will publish a book entitled "The Saudi King and I" in which her relationship with King Fahd will be detailed.[5]
