J-EyE (pronounced "jay-i") is an American record producer, songwriter, singer and rapper from Brooklyn, New York. J-EyE's stage name is derived from his belief that he represents everyone with a journey (or a dream) and the only way to accomplish those things is to work hard, stay focused and keep your "eye on your journey".[1]
Career
In 2006, managerial connections led J-EyE to a chance meeting in Miami with producer Timbaland, who invited him to the Hit Factory studios. There he rubbed elbows with Missy Elliott, Jennifer Lopez, Scott Storch, Baby and Mannie Fresh. He spent several months in Miami and wrote and recorded songs with Timbaland and his protégé Danja.[2]
As a songwriter J-EyE has worked with the likes of producers Timbaland,[3] JRoc Harmon,[4] Danja, T-Minus and artist Killa Kylean, Jacob Lattimore, Missy and 2 Chainz.
