Inspiration Trust board
Inspiration Trust board members include founder and chairman Theodore Agnew, David Tibble and Julian Hanson-Smith who have backgrounds in business and finance rather than education. The chief executive is a former headteacher, Dame Rachel de Souza. Miss de Souza sits on the headteacher board that advises Tim Coulson, the regional schools commissioner who decides which organisations sponsor academies.
The Department for Education however have said that Miss De Souza does not sit in on any discussions regarding the Inspiration Trust.[15]
