Noriko Ibaragi
Noriko Ibaragi (茨木 のり子); (Real name Noriko Miura (三浦 のり子)); born 12 June 1926 in Osaka - died 19 February 2006, was a Japanese poet and writer.[1]
Ibaragi attended secondary school in Aichi. Her most famous poem Watashi ga ichiban kirei datta Toki ("When my beauty shone"), written at the age of nineteen years is translated into several languages. In 1953, she co-founded the literary journal Kai ("Oars"). In addition to several volumes of poetry, she wrote essays, stories and scenarios.
