Hyman Bernard Samuels (born March 12, 1909, St Louis, Missouri, died October 8, 1973, Los Angeles, California) was a brassiere manufacturer and third husband of B-picture heroine Lynne Roberts.

Early years

Hyman Samuels was the son of Sam Samuels, a Russian immigrant tailor, and his wife, Perl Lehrer Samuels. Hyman Samuels worked as a salesman of women's apparel, then became a brassiere manufacturer.[1]

Marriage to Lynne Roberts

On May 3, 1953, actress Lynne Roberts announced that she planned to wed Hyman Samuels on June 6, her third marriage and his first.[2] The ceremony took place at Ontario, California. Roberts retired from acting after her marriage at the urging of her husband. She gave birth to a daughter in 1955. Hyman Samuels formally adopted her son from her first marriage.[3] Roberts separated from Samuels in 1958, reconciled briefly, then finally divorced in 1961.[4][5]

Later life

Samuels did not remarry. He died in Los Angeles in 1973.
