- Blue-headed sapphire (Hylocharis grayi)
- Humboldt's sapphire (Hylocharis humboldtii)
- Flame-rumped sapphire (Hylocharis pyropygia) - validity questionable.
- (Rufous-throated sapphire (Amazilia sapphirina) previously belonged to Hylocharis.)
