Huawen Media Investment Corp., Ltd. is a Chinese holding company in media sector. The company is a listed company in Shenzhen Stock Exchange, as SZSE: 000793. It is one of the 500 components of SZSE Component Index as well as sub-index SZSE 300 Index and SZSE 100 Index.

Acquisitions

In 2016 Huawen Media subscribed the new shares of China International Broadcasting Network (CIBN, traded as Chinese: 国广东方网络(北京)有限公司).[2] After the deal Huawen Media owned 30.9996% stake, while Global Broadcasting Media Group owned 34% stake. A subsidiary of Zhang Jindong (Chinese: 苏宁文化投资管理有限公司) owned 10% stake, the operator of Youku (Chinese: 合一信息) owned 10% and a subsidiary of Oriental Times Media Corporation (Chinese: 东方时代网络传媒股份有限公司) owned 15% stake,[3]

Shareholders

The largest shareholder of the company was Chinese: 国广环球资产管理有限公司; literally: "Global Broadcasting Asset Management", which is a subsidiary (58.0344%) of Global Broadcasting Media Group (Chinese: 国广环球传媒控股有限公司) for 7.14% stake. Global Broadcasting Media Group itself is a joint venture (50–50) of China Radio International with Chinese: 金正源联合投资控股有限公司; literally: "JinZhengYuan Union Investment Holding".[4]
