Hot Pursuit is an American reality television series running on truTV.

Hot Pursuit's current series slogan is "The Chase Is On".

Production

Hot Pursuit first aired on February 1, 2006. In early 2007, the series aired on Thursdays at 8:00pm and 8:30pm ET. New episodes ran from 2006 through 2007 and ran for two seasons with an approximate total of 53 episodes.

On Tuesday October 9, 2007, The show was played for a full hour at 10:00pm ET known as The Best of Hot Pursuit, displaying its previous footage from past episodes.

The 3rd season premiered on October 15, 2007 with the "The Chase Is On" slogan. A fourth season aired on September 7, 2008 at 10:00pm and will air 2 new episodes every Sunday night at 9:00pm–10:00pm.

Format

It is narrated by Russ Harris, Later episodes narrated by Greg O'neil and is produced by Bullseye Productions. Its producer is Phil Ward. Hot Pursuit's running time is 30 minutes.

The show features unusual police chases, often with highly dangerous criminals, non-routine traffic stops. Although not all footage is dashboard camera related, it also sometimes features bait car busts, and bad drivers inside the station. Sometimes, the footage shown is not finished. The video and clips seen are always non-fatal, and only in the rare cases will there be a serious incident shown. However, show counterparts such as Most Shocking and other truTV programs have routinely displayed fatal footage.

All footage in the show was recorded from the United States and Canada.

DVD releases

Season 1 of Hot Pursuit came out in October 2006. In most occurrences, the only available way to purchase it is via online order with stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City, and sold on eBay for $9.98. The first DVD showcases 15 episodes from the show, all including original footage and the same narrator seen on TV.
