The Red Sea bannerfish (Heniochus intermedius) is a Perciform fish which is found in waters around Africa and the Middle East.
Description
This fish is pale yellow below and white above, with two broad diagonal black bands, up to 20cm in length.[1]
Habitat
In schools as juveniles on coral heads, sometimes with Heniochus diphreutes. Adults usually in monogamous pairs.
Distribution
Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.[2]
