It has an apparent magnitude of +6.06, allowing it to be viewed with the naked eye under suitable viewing conditions. The stellar classification is B9V, which indicates that it is a main sequence blue-white star. The effective temperature of its chromosphere is 11,000 K,.[2]
It has an estimated lifespan of 490 million years and is three times the mass of the Sun. Its end state will probably be a carbon-oxygen white dwarf.[2]
