Gordon Hølmebakk (born 26 February 1928) is a Norwegian publishing editor, essayist and novelist. He was born in Feda, and the brother of writer Sigbjørn Hølmebakk. He worked for the publishing company Gyldendal Norsk Forlag from 1958, and headed the section for translated fiction from 1960 to 1996. He edited several book series and anthologies. After his retirement he has published novels under the pseudonym Gabriel Homme. In 1997 he was awarded the cultural prize of Anders Jahre.[1][2]
