Gogoro Smartscooter

The Gogoro Smartscooter is designed for urban transportation and powered by an electric motor developed by Gogoro and marketed as the G1 Aluminum Liquid Cooled Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor.[1] It relies on the Gogoro Energy Network as its power replenishment source.[2] The company states the following figures based on internal testing of the scooter and are inline with theoretical advantages of the electric powered motorcycles and scooters:

   Top speed of 95 km/h
   Acceleration of 0 to 50 km/h in 4.2 seconds
Maximum torque of 25 Nm @ 0-2,250 rpm
Maximum horsepower of 8.3 hp @ 4,000 rpm
The range is listed as above 100 km when traveling at speeds of 40 km/h.

The company chose the name Smartscooter for its product to reflect the innovative manner of incorporating real-time monitoring of the scooter’s critical systems and performance. The scooter design integrates sensors that collect information such as speed, energy consumption and levels, system failures, as well as scooter falls. The information is relayed to the Gogoro Energy Network and presented to riders via Gogoro mobile apps compatible with Android and IOS smartphones. The Gogoro mobile app also allows for customization of certain settings such as lighting and sound profiles.
