Geoff "The Oracle" Maltby is a fictional character in the ITV sitcom Benidorm. The 40-something adoptive son of Noreen Maltby, and the adoptive brother of Pauline Mamood.
Backstory
Within the show, Geoff (aka The Oracle) is the only son to Noreen Maltby and her husband, Geoff was adopted as a baby. He has a sister - Pauline Mamood, who moved to South Africa with her Saudi Arabian husband Bashir. Geoff regularly lies about being "World Champion" at many bizarre sports (such as indoor hang-gliding) and consistently claims his mother Noreen is his "PA", although everyone sees through his lies. In Series 3 (2009), Noreen falsely believes Geoff is gay and embarrasses him in front of everyone in Neptune's bar when she sings karaoke to "Y.M.C.A.". Also in Series 3 Geoff becomes romantically involved with the Garveys' daughter Chantelle and they go back to England together. Geoff later returns in Series 7 (2015), again with his mother Noreen. In the sixth episode of Series 7, it is revealed that Noreen is actually Geoff's adoptive mother and he has since separated from Chantelle, although they have a son called Pythagoras.
