Garth Martens is a Canadian poet.[1] He was the winner of the Bronwen Wallace Memorial Award in 2011,[2] and his debut collection Prologue for the Age of Consequence was a shortlisted nominee for the Governor General's Award for English-language poetry at the 2014 Governor General's Awards.[3]

Originally from Kelowna, British Columbia,[4] he currently resides in Victoria. He is a graduate in creative writing from the University of Victoria.[2] Martens has also served on the editorial board of The Malahat Review.[2]
