The giant laughingthrush (Garrulax maximus) is a bird species in the Leiothrichidae family. In the proposed rearrangement of the laughingthrushes, it is sometimes placed in the genus Ianthocincla, as I. maxima.
It is found in China and India. Its natural habitat is temperate forests.
