Freddy Daruwala (born on 12 May 1984) is an Indian model and actor based in Mumbai. Daruwala was highly involved in modelling and was considered as One of The Top Models in the Country during his active years. He is Currently working as an actor in Bollywood and has been rated as one of the top new comers to watch out for in the future.
Early life
Daruwala was born in Surat, Gujarat in a Parsi family. Daruwala completed his elementary education from St. Xavier's High School, Surat and did his Electronics followed by master of Business Administration from South Gujarat University. While doing his MBA, he received the opportunity to take part in Mr. India World [a Times of India Initiative]. Freddy secured the 1st Runner up Spot and soon became the Face for Nivea for Men. Freddy also was the Face for Raymond, Reliance ( Anil Ambani Group of companies) and many more brands. He did the Cover Page for Mens Health and soon became One of The Most sought after faces in Indian Fashion Industry. Freddy Has done Shows and Events in India and Overseas and has endorsed numerous brands. Daruwala was also declared as Mumbai's Most Stylish by Hindustan Times and Best Model by Miss Malini.
Film career
Freddy got his first major break as an actor in Akshay Kumar starrer Holiday-A Soldier is Never Off Duty, Produced my Vipul Amrutlal Shah where he played The Lead Antagonist and won the hearts of the audience. He instantly got popularity and was also nominated as the best Male Debut in almost all the awards. Freddy also shot Sher with Sanjay Dutt but the film didn't see the light of the day due to The Production House Legal Issues. Freddy will be next seen as a special appearance in John Abraham Starer "Force 2" and then as One of the Leads in again Vipul Shah produced "Commando2". Freddy Also shot for an independent Film "Umeed".
