The Ferrari 246P was a Formula One race car prototype used by Ferrari in 1960.[1] It was Ferrari's first mid-engined car. It's mid-engined, as the engine was in front of the rear axle, but described as rear-engined in references, as was the practice in 1960. Formula One car, using a Dino V6 engine of 2417 cc.[2][3] It was also fitted with a 1.5-litre engine on occasion, e.g. at 1960 Italian Grand Prix, where it conformed to F2 regulations.[3][4]
