Fast Company is a 1924 short silent comedy film directed by Robert F. McGowan.[1][2] It was the 32nd Our Gang short subject released.
Plot
Mickey trades places with a little rich boy, who is staying at a ritzy hotel. Mayhem ensues when the gang invades the hotel to look for Mickey and discover the snooty society ladies, a mischievous monkey, and a fireworks salesman. Later, the gang dress up as cannibals and organize a mock-tribal ritual.
Notes
Although Ernest Morrison and Jack Davis had both left the gang prior to a majority of this film's production, they were brought back, but only for this film.
In this Our Gang short, Farina has completed his transformation into a boy. Mary is not a part of the gang in this film, but a little rich girl staying at the hotel.
Fast Company started out under the direction of Charles Parrott, aka Charley Chase, but was delayed when Chase was called away on business to Hal Roach’s New York office. The uncompleted film was picked up months later by director Robert F. McGowan, who completed it.
Later released on the Mischief Makers TV series as "The Big Switch".
