Feryal Gauhar
Feryal Ali Gauhar (Urdu: فریال علی گوہر ) is a Pakistani actress, writer and human rights activist from Lahore, Pakistan.
Career
Feryal Gauhar is known for roles in Pakistani Television series in her youth. She went on to feature in a few episodes of the original highly successful Channel 4 series Traffic as the character Roomana, with her then husband Jamal Shah.
In 2014 she reprieved her acting career by starring in the feature film Tamanna (2014 film) as Madam Fatma, a controlling and devious, aging actress who gets her revenge on her unfaithful and arrogant husband.
Personal life
Daughter of well-known social scientist and anthropologist Khadija Ali Gohar, Faryal studied in American International School, Kinnaird College Lahore and McGill University Canada. Her contributions to poverty alleviation were appreciated by the Planning Commission of Pakistan. She was married to artist Jamal Shah; the couple is now divorced. She is also the younger sister of Madiha Gohar.
