Facebook Football Awards
The Facebook Football Awards was announced in April 2015 - the first awards were only for the English Premier League. In 2016, it was announced for various leagues around Europe. It is associated with Facebook, with La Liga awards associated with MARCA.[1]
Winners in 2015
Awards were issued only to the Premier League in 2015.
Premier League
- Player of the Year: Alexis Sánchez[2]
- Manager of the Year: Arsène Wenger
Winners in 2016
La Liga
- Player of the Year: Cristiano Ronaldo[3]
- Best Striker: Cristiano Ronaldo[3]
- Best Defender: Marcelo[3]
- Best Midfielder: Luka Modrić[3]
- Best Goalkeeper: Keylor Navas [3]
- Best Goal: James Rodríguez[3]
- Best Manager: Diego Simeone
- Best Supporters: The supporters of Real Madrid[3]
Premier League
- Player of the Year: Riyad Mahrez[4]
- Young Player of the Year: Anthony Martial[5]
- Manager of the Year: Claudio Ranieri
- Team of the Year: Three Leicester City and three Tottenham Hotspur players was included in team of the year. Manchester United were also represented with two players, as well as one apiece from Arsenal, West Ham United and Manchester City.[6]
Bundesliga
- Player of the Year: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
- New Comer of the Year: Julian Weigl
- Best Manager: Pep Guardiola

Ronaldo (best striker and best player), James (best goal), Modric (best midfielder), Marcelo (best defender) and Navas (best goalkeeper) were the winners at the ceremony which took place at Facebook's offices in Madrid. The Real Madrid fans were also chosen as the best supporters in La Liga.
