Ethan Cutkosky (born August 19, 1999) is an American actor, best known for his roles as Barto in The Unborn[1] and as Carl Gallagher on the Showtime series Shameless.[2]
Early life
Ethan Cutkosky was born on August 19, 1999 in the town of St. Charles, Illinois, United States.
Career
Early career
Ethan started making photo ads when he was four years old as a way for his mother and him to spend time together. After some commercials he was asked to audition for the commercials and then the movies.
First roles and Shameless
He got his first film role playing Carl in Fred Claus (2007), a Christmas comedy starring Vince Vaughn. Two years later he played Barto in the horror film The Unborn (2009), where he worked with Gary Oldman and, a year later, was able to see him in the independent thriller Conviction (2010), starring by Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell. Currently, Ethan works in the role of Carl Gallagher, in the Showtime television series Shameless, whose protagonist is William H. Macy.[3]

Personal life
Ethan is an avid skater, loves photography and is a second grade black belt in Taekwondo. He attends high school in his hometown near Chicago and likes to "hang out" with his friends. He is also an animal lover and has a number of pets, despite the numerous characters he has interpreted that are very different from him actually. He currently has a relationship with actress Brielle Barbusca.
