Esopus (magazine)
Esopus is a New York based, twice-yearly arts and culture magazine founded in 2003[1] and published by the Esopus Foundation Ltd., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.[2] It features content from a wide variety of creative disciplines, including artists' projects, critical writing, fiction, poetry, visual essays, interviews, and music—all presented in an unmediated format, with minimal editorial framing and no advertising.
Its primary objective is to give artists a noncommercial forum in which to publish their projects, while simultaneously offering its readers the opportunity to access a wide range of cultural expression with very little interference, deepening the connection between artists and the general public and making the magazine a distributor, rather than interpreter, of its content.
