Edmonton Southwest was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the Canadian House of Commons from 1988 to 2003.

Geography

It was located in the city of Edmonton in the province of Alberta.

History

This riding was created in 1987 from Edmonton South and Edmonton West ridings.

It was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed into Edmonton—Leduc, Edmonton—Spruce Grove and Edmonton Centre ridings.

Members of Parliament

This riding elected the following Members of Parliament:

  1. 1993-2000: Ian McClelland - Reform (1993–2000), Canadian Alliance (2000)
  2. 2000-2003: James Rajotte - Canadian Alliance (2000–2003), Progressive Conservative (2003–2004), Conservative (2004- ) - He currently represents 'Edmonton—Leduc.
