The East Coast Junior Lacrosse League is a Junior-level Canadian box lacrosse league. The teams are located in Nova Scotia. The champions of the East Coast league have in the past moved on to represent Team Nova Scotia at the Founders Cup, the Canadian National Junior B championship.

History

Formed in 2011, the league featured five original teams (Dartmouth Bandits, Halifax Northwest Rebels, Halifax Southwest Hurricanes, Moncton Mavericks, Sackville Wolves). Fourth-seeded Dartmouth (7-8-1) upset league winning Rebels (10-4-2) in the opening round before defeating the Hurricanes in the finals 3-games-to-1.

A second-tier league was added in 2012 with Eastern Shore Breakers, St. Margarets Bay Storm and Truro Bearcats competing against "B" teams from Halifax Northwest, Moncton and Sackville. This lasted just two years as St. Margarets folded after one season and Sackville "B" failed to finish their 2013 season.

Just four teams competed in 2014 with Moncton Mavericks going on hiatus for the season. Halifax Northwest renamed their Junior team Marley Lions.

The Mavericks returned in 2015 along with a new team, Mi'kmaq Warriors to see the league at six teams.

For the 2016 season the Mavericks changed their name from Moncton to New Brunswick Mavericks.
