E. K. Hunt

Emery Kay Hunt (usually called E. K. Hunt or Kay Hunt) (born November 13, 1937 in Blanding, Utah[1]) is an Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Utah.[2]
Hunt received his Ph.D. at the University of Utah.[3] He has taught at five universities.[4] He taught at the University of California, Riverside from 1969 to 1978, then returned to the University of Utah where he has taught until now.[5]
Hunt's father was Emery Rulond Hunt (1914–1994)[6] and his mother was Minerva Kartchner (b. 1917[1]). Hunt has one brother and four sisters.[7]
Hunt is the father of Jeff Hunt and of Andrew Hunt[8] who is a History professor at the University of Waterloo.

Hunt's first name
Genealogical sources give Hunt's first name as "Emery".[1][7] However, Amazon.com gives Hunt's first name as "Emerson" for the March 1986 paperback edition of Economics: An Introduction to Traditional and Radical Views (ISBN 978-0-06-350353-3).[9]
