Donelson Christian Academy was started in the US in 1971 in the Donelson Free Will Baptist Church, the Donelson Fellowship, across from McGavock High School. Classes were conducted there for three and one half years before moving to Nashville, TN. The school consist of Pre-School through 12 grade. The K4-12 portion of the school has approximately 755 students. It is accredited by the State of Tennessee and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Donelson Christian Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is approved by the Tennessee Department of Education and is a member of the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International.[1]
Donelson Christian Academy Life
Donelson Christian Academy has sports teams in softball, tennis, and football. In the year 2011 their tennis qualified for state and sent a male doubles team and a female to state which both brought home medals. in 2012 the boys basketball team went to state and won.
Amy Austin is the director of spiritual life, and leads chapels every Monday and Wednesday for elementary and High School students. Once every semester there is a spiritual emphasis week with chapel every day. DCA has 3 official choirs: Middle School Choir, Concert Choir (highschool), and a Showchoir (Highschool) called "Legacy". In 2012, Legacy competed at 3 competitions, reaching finals and placing in all 3 of them.
