Nasir Pemberton (born December 5, 1995), known professionally as Digital Nas, is an American record producer and artist. Digital Nas first gained recognition with production on the breakout record Run It by Playboi Carti & Lil Yachty.[1]

Career

Digital Nas is widely known for his collaborations with Lil Yachty. Digital Nas gained his first wave of success after breaking artist Lil Yachty with his first ever song, obtaining notable notoriety after getting cosigns from fashion taste maker Ian Connor.[2] "Lil Boat" was released in the summer of 2015.[3] Digital Nas got his first major label placement with "Up Next 2" in March 2016 on Lil Yachty's debut mixtape "Lil Boat". This mixtape charted on the Hot 200 and peaked at 113, being Digital Nas's first ever Billboard placement.[4] Digital Nas went on to produce several melodic breakout hits with acts such as Levi Carter, Keith Ape, PNB Rock, and many other artists. Digital Nas has yet to release an official project, but is set to release his forthcoming extended play (EP), entitled "DN", in late 2016. Digital Nas established his own record company, Label III Records, which he signed himself to.[5] He has since performed these singles at various shows, notably BLOCKPARTY 5, a local concert in Wichita, Ks.

Digital Nas released his debut single "Hating Friends" in May 2016; following "Hating Friends", Digital Nas released another cult single, "Touch the Sky". Upon releasing singles as an artist, Digital Nas launched a collaborative EP with Lil Yachty entitled "Lost Files", which released in September 2016. "Lost Files" gained nationwide attention after being picked up by major blogs such as Complex, HotNewHipHop, MTV, XXl, Fader, Daily Loud & many others.[6][7][8][9] After the release of his collaborative EP with Lil Yachty, Digital Nas went on to produce his second major label single with international Korean superstar Keith Ape, entitled "Let Us Prey", which has gone viral after its October 2016 release.[10]
