Dewas (Lok Sabha constituency)

Dewas Lok Sabha constituency (Hindi: देवास लोक सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is one of the 29 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies. Following delimitation, Shajapur constituency ceased to exist and Dewas constituency came into being.[1] This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes and covers parts of Sehore, Shajapur and Dewas districts.

Agar, Shajapur, Shujalpur, Dewas, Sonkatch and Hatpipliya Vidhan Sabha segments were earlier part of the erstwhile Shajapur constituency, while Ashta Vidhan Sabha segment was earlier part of Bhopal constituency.
