Deobrat Mishra (born 4 June 1976) is an Indian sitarist and composer. He is an exponent of the Benares Gharana school of Hindustani classical music. A 2011 ITV documentary described Deobrat Mishra, along with his father Shivnath Mishra, as 'household names on the Indian music scene'.[1]
Early life and education
Deobrat Mishra was born in Varanasi, India to the legendary Sitar player Shivnath Mishra.[2] He received a Master's degree in sitar from the Prayag Sangit Samiti in Allahabad.

Music Academy
Deobrat Mishra opened a Music Academy in Benares (Varanasi) where he hopes to revive the musical culture in Varanasi. He houses many students and does regular performances to tourists.
