Def Pen is a Brooklyn based online lifestyle magazine for music, fashion, sports and art.
History
Founded by Jared Brown, Def Pen originally was Def Pen Radio, a weekly podcast series. The podcast series lasted until 2008, when Brown and his host went their separate ways. Brown launched the Hip-Hop & Pop news website in 2009.
Website
Def Pen's original website was DefPenRadio.com in 2009. The site solely focused on Hip-Hop & Pop culture. Over the years as contributors came on board, the site's content further expanded. Apart of that expansion was introducing sports coverage in 2013 with Def Pen Sports, covering the NBA, NFL, & MLB extensively. In January 2015, Def Pen launched a brand new website design. Later that same year in November, the domain was converted to DefPen.com
