Playing career

After playing High School Ice Hockey for Culver Military Academy during the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons, de Kastrozza played College Ice Hockey for the University of Maine Black Bears, at which he studied Finance.[1]

After completing his Senior season at Maine, de Kastrozza began his Professional Ice Hockey career by signing with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL on March 24, 2010.[2][3] On September 10, 2010, de Kastrozza re-signed with the Stingrays for the 2010-11 season.[4] A week later, de Kastrozza was invited to the 2010 Training Camp of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League, but did not make the team.[5][6] de Kastrozza would spend would split the 2010-11 season playing for both the Stingrays and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.[6] de Kastrozza was again invited by the Washington Capitals to its 2011 Training Camp, but again did not make the team.[6][7] In light of this, de Kastrozza returned to the Stingrays and played the entire 2011-12 season for the team.[6]

de Kastrozza did not re-sign with the Stingrays for the 2012-13 season, instead signing with competing ECHL club the Idaho Steelheads on October 13, 2012.[6][8] He would play for the Steelheads for the next 3 season.[9] On June 16, 2015, the Steelheads traded the negotiating rights for de Kastrozza to the Missouri Mavericks of the ECHL to complete a trade made during the 2014-15 season in which the Mavericks sent Martin Lee to the Steelheads.[9] On July 13, 2015, the Mavericks signed de Kastrozza to a contract for the 2015-16 season.[10]
