David MacGill

"David Makgill" redirects here. It is not to be confused with David McGill.

David MacGill or Makgill[1] (died 1595) was the Lord Advocate of Scotland between 1582 and 1595.

He is also known as David MacGill of Cranstoun Riddel, and his father was James MacGill (or Mackgill) of Nether Rankeillour (died 1579).[2][3]
