J. Cyril Stacey (born in Halifax) was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s and 1920s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Halifax, as a Fullback, i.e. number 1. He is a Halifax Hall Of Fame Inductee.[1]
Stacey was selected to go on the 1920 Great Britain Lions tour of Australasia. He won a cap for Great Britain while at Halifax in 1920 against New Zealand.[2] Stacey won caps for Yorkshire while at Halifax. His last game for Halifax was on 9 February 1929.
