Collin Quaner (born 18 June 1991 in Düsseldorf) is a German footballer who plays for 1. FC Union Berlin.[1]

Club career

Quaner began his career with Fortuna Düsseldorf where he passed through all the youth teams. In the 2009–10 season, he was placed into the U19-Bundesliga side. On 22 May 2010, he debuted with the second team in a Regionalliga match against the second team of Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Prior to the start of the 2010–11 season, Quaner transferred to Arminia Bielefeld. On 13 August 2010, he debuted for his new club in a DFB-Pokal match against Jahn Regensburg. One week later, he played his first 2. Bundesliga match, an away game at FSV Frankfurt. During his time for VfR Aalen, on 3 May 2015, he also scored a back heel goal, but he scored at the wrong net during Aalen's meeting with VfL Bochum which was won by 4-2 to Bochum.

In July 2015, after Aalen being relegated to the 3. Liga, Quaner moved on a free transfer to 2. Bundesliga side Union Berlin signing a two-year contract until 2017.[2]

Personal life

He grew up in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim, where his parents still live.[3] Furthermore, he is of Ghanaian ancestry.[4]
