Coffee with Conscience

Coffee With Conscience is a monthly concert series based in Westfield, New Jersey which raises money for local charities by hosting touring musical performers with a focus on singer-songwriters.[1][2] It is sponsored in part by the Westfield Service League,[1] and it began in 2000 and has run every year since then. Charities it sponsors include Homefirst, Habitat for Humanity, Contact We Care, the Community Food Bank of NJ[3] and the Keith Knost Special Needs Trust.[1][4] Performances happen in downtown Westfield, New Jersey.[1] In the past it has supported charities such as the Eric Johnson House in Morristown, The Central Jersey Chapter of the Names Project, and others.[5] It features seven performances annually. Past performers have included David Wilcox, Beaucoup Blue,[6] Modern Man, Anais Mitchell, Red Molly,[7][8] Christine Lavin,[9] Greg Greenway, John Flynn,[10] Reggie Harris, Don White,[9] Pat Wictor,[11] Toby Walker,[11] John McCutcheon, the Guy Mendilow Band, The Bobs, Pat Wictor & Toby, Ginny Johnston, Jessica Schoenberg, Greg Greenway, David Roth, Dayna Kurtz, Bob Malone, Carla Ulbrich, Justin Roth, Cheryl Wheeler, Catie Curtis, The Kennedys,[12][13] KJ Denhert, guitarist Glenn Alexander[2] and many others.[14][15][16] It was founded by the former minister of the Springfield Emanuel Methodist Church, Jeff Markay, and has been managed by artistic director and host Ahrre Maros, and staffed by a team of volunteers.
