Successes
Throughout the school's history, Clinton has enjoyed great success in many of its sports, earning many MAC conference titles and producing all-state athletes that have enjoyed success at the collegiate level and in their careers.
One of the school's most successful sports is volleyball. Under veteran coach Mark Massey, the River Queens have earned four MAC titles and four state berths.
River King football has had spurts of success, with the 2009 team achieving an undefeated regular season and advancing as far as the quarterfinals behind all-state running back David Johnson. The 1992 boys' basketball team won the Iowa Class 3A state championship, going 24-1 in its most successful season in school history.
