Christian Carius (born 22 September 1976 in Mühlhausen) is a German politician and member of the CDU. Since 1999 he has been a member of the Landtag of Thuringia. After the Thuringia state election, 2009 he became Minister of Transport, Building and Rural Affairs.[1] Five years later, after the Thuringian state election, 2014 he became the speaker of the parliament.
