Christ Church Girls' School is one of two all-girls primary schools in Barbados. It is located in Water Street, Christ Church. It has over thirty teachers and over 600 students.[1]
History
The school started as Kingsland Girls' School, which opened in 1898 on the Kingsland Estate. In 1921 it moved to its present location and in 1926 it was amalgamated with Providence Girls' School and renamed Christ Church Girls' School.[2]
Principals
Past principals include Miss Hewitt and Miss Eugenia Carter-Hinds, Mrs. Amerel Haynes, Miss Adele Smith, Mrs. Glenis Nurse, Mrs. Coral Padmore and the current principal is Mrs. Heather Bryan.[1]
